“Leadership During Turbulent Times”
AFP Edmonton is pleased to present Cynthia Hansen, Senior Vice President, Operations, Liquids Pipelines at Enbridge and Linda Palladino, Vice President, Human Resources and Development at Enbridge. They will be joining us to discuss leadership during turbulent times.
Cynthia became the SVP Operations for Liquids Pipelines in December 2014. Cynthia is responsible for North American field operations ensuring the safe and reliable operations of the Liquids Pipelines mainline, gathering and storage facilities.
Cynthia is currently on the Board of Directors of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the Business Advisory Council for the University of Alberta and the Advisory Committee for McEwan Department of Finance and Accounting. Cynthia chairs the Diversity & Inclusion Committee at Enbridge and has recently been recognized as a Diversity & Inclusion Canadian Business Leader by Catalyst and Top 100 Canada’s Most Powerful Women by WXN.
Prior to her current role, Cynthia was the SVP Enterprise Safety & Operational Reliability and was responsible for defining and executing enterprise wide safety culture initiatives, strategies and policies, as well as the implementation and management of corporate wide risk management plans.
Cynthia joined Enbridge in 1999 and has since taken on roles of increasing responsibility within the organization in the areas of Safety, Operations & Finance including VP of System Performance & Solutions, VP Canadian Operations and VP Finance for Liquids Pipelines.
Before joining Enbridge, Cynthia was a director at PWC in their Financial Advisory Services group.
Cynthia has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta. She is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Linda Palladino is Vice President, Human Resources and Development. In this role Linda provides strategic leadership, direction and management to the Human Resources function to ensure that Enbridge has the human and organizational capabilities to meet its strategic priorities and drive competitive advantage.
Before joining Enbridge, Linda held leadership positions in Human Resources at TransCanada/Nova Gas Transmission, the Calgary Regional Health Authority and Edmonton Board of Health. Linda has a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Personnel Administration from the University of Alberta as well as an Effective Grievance Handling Certificate from the University of British Colombia. In addition, Linda is a certified member of the Human Resources Institute of Alberta and a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
Linda has many years of experience in the areas of strategic development and planning, employee and leadership development, workforce planning, recruitment and selection, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, change management, total compensation, and employee/labour relations.
In her spare time, Linda enjoys spending time with immediate and extended family and playing team sports.
