AFP Edmonton is pleased to present Christina Butchart, Principal, CMHC Prairie and Territories Region, Edmonton.

Lower oil prices have slowed economic expansion, reduced the pace of employment growth and led to a decline in migration. Discover how these market forces are steering Edmonton’s housing markets and where they will lead in 2016 and 2017. Join Christina Butchart as she shares her analysis and forecasts for the Edmonton economy and housing markets.

Christina Butchart joined CMHC in 2003 and has held positions in Market Analysis and Research in the B.C. Region and at CMHC's National Office in Ottawa. She began her current position as Principal of Market Analysis for Edmonton in 2012.

Christina holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Victoria. Prior to joining CMHC, Christina worked as an Economist for the B.C. provincial government.
