AFP Edmonton is pleased to present Brian Rosenbaum, Senior Vice President and the National Director of Aon’s unique Legal and Research Practice (LARP).
Every organization, regardless of its size, the product or service it provides and the jurisdiction in which it operates has some exposure to cyber risk and privacy liability. Data breaches, which seem to happen daily, could saddle organizations with crippling costs and extensive damage to the organizations’ brand.
Join Brian Rosenbaum, Aon’s National Cyber and Privacy Practice Leader, in a discussion about the cyber and privacy exposures all organizations face and the risk transfer options available to mitigate cyber losses. Brian will also touch on some of the legal/compliance requirements, the most common sources of breaches, relevant breach examples, costs of a loss, best privacy practices and liability transfer through contract.
Brian Rosenbaum joined Aon Reed Stenhouse in November 2006, and is a Senior Vice President and the National Director of Aon’s unique Legal and Research Practice (LARP) that works in conjunction with the Financial Services Group. His department provides risk transfer counsel and solutions to many of Canada’s most prominent corporate executives and boards. Currently considered an authority on insurance matters dealing with management liability, Brian contributes regularly to prominent industry publications and is a much sought after speaker on these issues. Brian is also Aon Canada’s National Cyber and Privacy Practice Leader and in that capacity he was the impetus behind the creation of the first “made in Canada” stand alone Privacy Liability Insurance policy and was regularly consulted during the creation process. Brian has been at the forefront of the privacy breach exposure issue within the Canadian insurance industry and continues to lecture and publish on this important topic.
Prior to his Aon engagement, Brian developed continuing legal education programs with an emphasis on management liability insurance, worked in private practice, and was General Counsel of a Toronto-based group of companies. Brian is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and a member of the Ontario Bar.
