AFP Edmonton is pleased to kick off 2018 with an incredible two event mini-series. 

Please join us on January 25th 2018 where John Rose, Chief Economist for the City of Edmonton, will provide us with an outlook on the Edmonton economy and valuable insights into the road ahead.

John is a seasoned economist with over 30 years’ experience in economic analysis, forecasting and consulting to private and public sector organizations. Prior to joining the City of Edmonton in 2010, John held various positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, IHS Global Insight, Deloitte & Touche, and Standard & Poor’s.

Please join us on March 15th 2018 where Alison Schneider, Director of Responsible Investment (RI) at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), a Crown Corporation and United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) signatory with $100 billion in assets under management will speak on Managing Climate Risk & The Transition to a Low-Carbon Economy.

Alison is a member of the UNPRI SDG Advisory Committee and Methane Working Group, the Pension Investment Association of Canada’s Investor Stewardship Committee and the Shareholder Responsibility Committee for the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN). She is the co-author of the ICGN Guidance on Diversity and contributed a chapter for The New Frontiers of Sovereign Investment, a textbook published by Columbia University Press in 2017.
