Mark will be  talking about macro market forces with respect to the EU, US and currency markets, touching on commodities and gold in particular.  He will conclude with introducing a few option-based hedging strategies that are gaining popularity amongst corporate hedgers.

 

Mark has spent more than a decade as a trader and market strategist specializing in foreign exchange.  He began his career at Custom House, working first at progressively senior trading positions before assuming the role of VP FX Trading, where he was responsible for the firm’s global trading operations, cash and risk management and the development of the firm’s interbank counterparty relationships.  In his current role as VP Corporate, Payment and Risk Solutions at Cambridge Mercantile Group, Mark is primarily responsible for developing and implementing risk management hedging strategies for high value corporate entities across

North Americafrom a cross section of industries.

Specializing in currency option structures, global payment platforms, cash management and currency market analysis, Mark has become a regular contributor for Reuters, Dow Jones, Bloomberg, the Financial Times, AFP, the Globe and Mail, BNN and other financial publications.  Mark is a graduate from the University of Calgary Economicsprogram and is a candidate in both the Chartered Financial Analysts and Derivative Market Specialist programs.
