AFP will start the New Year off in Montreal on January 20, 2021 with a panel on Open Banking. We are honoured to bring you high-level guests who will speak about artificial intelligence and its impacts on treasurers including the legal aspect, cybersecurity challenges, and potential opportunities.
This event will feature:
Abdulah El Tarazi, Chief Business Development Officer, Expertus;
Alex Yang, Global API Strategy & Enablement, Bank of America;
Denis Laroche, Executive Advisor, Desjardins Group; and
Andrew McFarlane, Executive Director of Modernization, Payments Canada.

Abdulah El Tarazi:
After having dedicated a decade to his post-secondary studies, Abdulah joined Expertus to provide innovative payments solutions for corporates, financial institutions and regulatory bodies, positioning himself as a pioneer in Cloud solutions offering for financial services.
Alex Yang :
Alex is responsible for CashPro API and global Open Banking strategy. He and his fellow product managers focus on how they can best deliver commercial banking data and services to clients and their technical service providers. He serves on the board of the Afinis organization and enjoys collaborating with industry peers on the topic of API standardization.
Denis Laroche :
Denis is a contributor to the overall banking payments and digital identity vision and strategy at Desjardins. For payments, he works closely with payments Canada on the initiative for Canada's next generation payment infrastructure. He also works with SWIFT as Desjardins' representative for the Canadian financial institutions' community.
Andrew:
Andrew is currently responsible for leading the modernization of Canada's core clearing and settlement payments infrastructure. Prior, Andrew consulted extensively in the financial services industry with Accenture in Ireland, in addition to leading the consulting firm's open banking activities globally and shaping Accenture's response to the Payments Services Directive 2 (PSD2) in Europe.
