AFPC Edmonton is pleased to present Greg Steele, President of the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton. Greg will lay out his forecast for the Edmonton Housing Market in 2014 and provide a mid-year update.
Housing is both affected by and influences the national and local economy. When the economy is strong housing sales flourish, but if housing sales falter, like they did in the States, then the economy responds. All housing is local and the local variations in price and sales are often counter-cyclical to national trends.
Bring your questions and expect answers in this lively presentation of Edmonton's housing marketplace.
Greg has had a long and varied career in real estate starting in 1988 with his Agents Designation and then his Brokers Designation in 1990. After 15 years in residential sales and multiple Association and Re/Max Awards he joined CentreCorp to pursue commercial leasing and development opportunities until the company was restructured in 2005.
He joined Re/Max Real Estate and became a REALTOR® again in 2005 and obtained his commercial real estate designation. Today, he maintains an extensive portfolio of commercial and residential clients.
Greg has served on the Board of Directors since 2010 and was the president-elect in 2013. During his term on the Board of Directors, Greg chaired the Commercial Committee, co-chaired the Arbitration and Professional Standards Committee for 2 years, and currently serves on the audit committee. He has also served on the REALTORS® Community Foundation Board of Governors and supports their work, along with the Children’s Miracle Network by contributing a portion of every sale proceeds to them.
In 2008, he chaired the Re/Max General Advertising Committee after serving a two year term on the committee.
